"Karmageddon" is the final standard track of the self-titled album Soulfly, released in 1998. The world music track comprises of two parts. The first and the main part, "Karmageddon", is an instrumental tune with heavy, repetitive drumming. The second part, "Sultão das Matas", begins at around 3:55 following 24 seconds of silence. It solely features tribal drumming and vocals by Brazilian native Angola Kassanje. She sings in Portuguese about being the sultan of her village surrounded by forests.
Karmageddon is the portmanteau of 'karma' and 'armageddon.' The title only differs on first letter from another Soulfly song "Warmageddon", played on the sixth album Conquer. Sultão das matas is Portuguese for "sultan of forests."
